Hey Heidi,I found this video in the middle of this past school year and thought it was WONDERFUL! My second grade son loved it too, so I thought I would give it a try in my first grade room. I ran out to a party supply store and found 10 army hats. Then I made tens and ones labels to put on the hats. After I taught my class the song over a few days and introduced the concept, I had the students put on the hats. I would call a few up at a time and give out tens hats and ones hats. The "audience" had to write the number that was formed on their white boards. The students thought it was the best thing!!!
